Moore Architects, PC began in 1989 as C. Marshall Moore, Architect. In 1990, with the addition of a partner and employees, the firm rapidly grew into Moore Poe Architects, PC. In 2002, the seven-person firm, located in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, became Moore Architects, PC.

Moore Architects, PC is predominately a residential practice, concentrating on new homes, renovations/additions, retail, adaptive reuse and historic preservation projects. Additionally, a growing segment of the practice focuses on commercial and institutional work, including retail buildings, churches, and private schools.

Charles Moore, the principal of Moore Architects, PC graduated from Virginia Tech in 1981 with a Bachelor of Architecture. Prior to opening his own practice, Mr. Moore practiced architecture with Davis Carter Scott Architects, Joseph Boggs Studio Architects, and Hartman-Cox Architects.
