History
Repp + McLain Design and Construction was founded in 1995 by Architect and General Contractor Page W. Repp Jr., AIA. With a passion for design and craft, Page founded the company with the vision of providing desert-appropriate design and quality construction with a modern flair. Over the last 16 years, the firm has completed over 300 projects, both residential and commercial, for professional and private clients in the greater Tucson area. The company has been recognized locally, regionally and nationally for its excellence in design and construction, and was awarded the coveted Ethics Award from the Better Business Bureau of Southern Arizona for demonstrating the highest level of integrity and ethics in business practices.
In addition to managing the day-to-day operations of the company, Page works with clients to develop cost-effective and constructible design solutions, and he personally oversees each project while under construction in the field.
In 2008, Rick McLain AIA LEED AP, was named partner. Rick works rigorously in the office leading the design team and managing Construction Administration.
Mission
Our mission is to cultivate meaningful relationships with our clients and our environment, to educate by example, and to craft projects that are a reflection of our passion for desert-appropriate design.
Why Design+Build?
The design+build project delivery method brings the Architect and Contractor together from the start to create a cohesive building process. Unlike the typical design/bid/build process, our clients benefit by having both the designer and builder at the table from the onset through completion of their project. This creates a design process where project costs & construction feasibility can be assessed as decisions are made. This reduces the risk of projects costs coming in over budget when construction drawings are completed. The usual mediation between architects and contractors during construction is eliminated in the design + build process because both parties are part of the same entity and share the same goals. Because of this team approach, Repp+McLain projects run smoothly, the designs are both innovative and constructable, and our open, honest approach allows us to form trusting relationships for the long term.
