Since 1983, SALA has opened new possibilities through architectural design for clients and projects of every scale and sensibility. We see design as exploration. Our 14 project architects and 12 staff professionals work collaboratively to uncover ideas that contribute to the beauty and function of everything we create. The results are highly inventive, thoughtfully crafted, and intimately connected to the lives of their users.
We began as a residential firm in Minneapolis, Minnesota. 30 years later our practice has grown to include categories from commercial building to cultural centers, reaching a clientele across the region and the country. Uniting our work is a devotion to the individual needs of the people we serve. It’s a philosophy that makes the process enjoyable—and, as our clients tell us, makes the final product delightfully personal in ways they never expected.
