Liam was born in Tucson, Arizona on October 17, 1972. He attended the first few years in public schools there before moving to Virginia with his family and enrolling in a private school. In 1983, his father was offered a job in Australia and the family emigrated Down Under. Liam finished both junior and senior high schools in rural New South Wales. During those years he became involved in both swimming and cycling and competed in both sports around Victoria and New South Wales. He was accepted into the engineering college at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he studied and pursued a competitive cycling hobby, riding against professional riders from around the world.
Liam chose to change career paths, emphasizing the visual [arts] and moved back to Tucson where he studied photography before enrolling in the University of Arizona’s College of Architecture. He graduated in 2004 and has been involved in the design and construction of residential architecture in the Tucson area. During his years in architecture school, Liam continued to develop his camera skills and was hired routinely by local architects and sports groups to photo-document buildings and competitions. His work has appeared on the cover of architectural and style magazines. His specialties include candid, journalistic style portraiture, architectural documentation and sweeping landscapes.
