This house was built in 1959 with a turquoise kitchen and pink bathroom. Unfortunately it had been neglected for decades and needed to be fully remodeled to the studs. Redrawing the plan and removing walls opened up the living spaces; larger windows added light throughout. A reworked stair with doors at the landing open out to the garden that was formerly accessible only from the garage. We converted one of three (!) garage spaces to create a guest bedroom suite, office and main entry. The new window divisions, lighting, tile and wood accentuate the modern vibe with homage to its mid-century origin.
